Living in the Top End of Australia has been a huge part of our Unknown Journey! Chels and I decided we would stay in Darwin with her family for a while and we saw it as the perfect opportunity to see as much of the NT as possible, and boy we’ve done just that!
Kangaroo Valley, NSW
Most of you already know that in Sept 2014 we decided to set a date for our wedding. On our first afternoon of planning we went to the beach at sunset with a beer (it’s hard work this wedding planning!) and our laptops to gather our ideas. We soon realised we had the very same thoughts on how we would like to celebrate our wedding, and on our first venue search we found our dream location! Dundee Beach, NT
Dave’s fishing buddy Keith, and his wife Terina have become good friends of ours. They own a bush block with a small holiday house on it at Dundee Beach, which is 145km from Darwin. They kindly offered their place up for us to stay at and of course we jumped at the chance to explore new territory. Continue reading

Kakadu National Park, NT
It all started at 4am in the morning when we set off in Dusty for a sunrise fish at Corroboree Billabong. As a surprise from my sister, we were told ‘something’ had been organised for us and we rocked up to find out we were going out on a chartered boat. Being out on the boat on a quiet morning, surrounded by fog and cruising along little offshoot waterways was an experience in itself. The scenery was spectacular… Continue reading
